Baricella - WDSF Competition in the Corona times! Our second WDSF Competition in 2021 could take place in Italy, Baricella. We are very happy that we can dance with others and see, that our hard work gave beautiful results. We finished on the 13th Place as well in Standard (139 couples) as in Latin (99 couples). New outfits, new hairstyles... You can see it on the youtube videos on our Youtube Channel! We would like to thank Swiss Olympic and the Swiss Military for Sportsmen for the support! Happy New Year! We wish you all Happy and Healthy New Year! Times are hard. There are no WDSF tournaments at all. Going abroad to visit our trainers is very difficult because of the Quarantine and travel restrictions. We are of course wearing the mask and we submit to the limitations caused by the Virus, but it is extremely difficult to dance and do sport with a mask on. We hope and wish all our fans and observers that the new year will be much better than the previous one and that we will all find a way out of this difficult and unfortunate situation. ...

13th. Place at the European Championship Ten Dance One of our best Results so far. Since over 20 Years no Swiss Couple made it this far in a Ten Dance Championship. We felt extremely good being able to perform again in front of an audience. Because of Corona there were no comps held since February. The fans give as a lot of energy. When they are excited about our dancing and cheer for us we perform on a higher level. At our last European Championship we were placed 24. How could we pass our rivals so quickly? We really have to give a lot of credit to our sponsors. For example, the swiss armed forces. Davide joined the army in 2020 so we could practice in the Competence Centre of Sport 6 days a week for 6 hours a day. It was worth it. Additionally, we thank all our smaller private sponsors. Davide, the first Dance Sport Athlete in the Elite Sport Military in Switzerland It's official today! Davide is the first Dance Sport Athlete to qualify for the Elite Sport Military. He will complete the 18 weeks of recruit school at the Army's Sports Competence Centre in Magglingen. The motto of the Top Tport commanders is "Success through targeted effort to get to the top". To be accepted to the Elite Sport recruit school opens us as Dance Sport Athletes many opportunities. It fills us with pride that the Army investes in us as Elite DanceSport Athletes, thus helps us to progress holistically. We are very enthusiastic and very happy to be able to perform our targeted work there and to be supported by the Swiss Army! Finalists at the World Championship in Putin’s House We are finalists at the World Championship in Adults. Just unbelievable! One of our big Goals is achieved. It was a great honor to dance in the heart of Russia, the Kremlin. Even getting to the changing room was an adventure: We were brought from our hotel to the first security checkpoint in the Kremlin. The soldier at the passport control looked in my passport, in my face, again in the passport and laughed. It was difficult for him to recognize me because I already put on my Lion makeup. Some unrecognisable athletes had to take away the makeup and do it again inside. After 3 checkpoints, soldiers accompained us to the heart of the Kremlin. We shared our changing rooms with the athletes from the Netherlands and Azerbaijan. After 4 hours of waiting and prepearing our time had come. After Davide created the basic form of the show “Lion King” for his matura exam, we continuously developed this show. We made it better wherever we could and presented it on the 9.11 in the Capital of Poland. Warsaw is Maja’s City of birth. Many of her friends came and cheered for us. World Championships in Moscow - 10 Dance Our main discipline and the most difficult. Ten Dance! In every round we have to switch the style, from the Latin American to Standard and visa versa. It is physically extremely demanding, and our mental limits are tested. Every couple at that competition is the national champion of their own country.  Our 22 place means in other words that only 21 countries stand between us and the World champion title. It was a marvellous atmosphere. In Russia, DanceSport is a famous sport. The Russian federation has big sponsors and it shows in the quality of the event. The decoration of the stadium was beautiful.
